Why do I blog?

The main purpose of this blog is to discuss my favorite sport, which is drag racing. I want to be able to tell the stories of the kind of racer that you will find in the pits at any local dragstrip, in any state, on any given weekend. These people are the ones that may not be a household name, yet, but they have something special to share with the rest of the racing community.

Drag racing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began racing about 17 years ago and have been literally hooked ever since. While I enjoy winning races as much as anyone else, lately I’ve realized that the best thing about this sport is the companionship. No one quite understands you as well as another drag racer. We have our own phrases, accomplishments, goals, and unfortunately, problems. I’ve learned the drag racing community is more like a large family; meaning there’s a lot of love, occasional drama, competitive spirit, and a multitude of stories to tell.

This site will be a place for drag racing news, local race results/recaps, racer spotlights, tales from the track, and more. I hope you enjoy!
